Developing Skills...Virtually - Weekly Lunchtime Sessions

Now EVERY THURSDAY during term time between 12.30pm to 1.30pm there will be an online PD session about flexible and online learning (and other matters) facilitated by Flex:Ed, Centre for Education Excellence.

The sessions will be delivered via the eLearn Virtual Meeting Room at CIT.

Sessions will be in the same time slot every week for the duration of each term. The first session delivered each term will be an introduction to virtual classrooms and how to use them. The Wimba virtual classroom will be avaliable in eLearn, our new virtual learning environment.

The PD sessions will be about flexible and online teaching and learning: teachers will have an opportunity to showcase their work in, eg, designing and implementing online courses, collaborating in OLE, or developing innovative projects in flexible and online learning, showcasing new tools for content development and packaging, demonstrating favoured techniques and software, discussing pedagogical issues and design approaches. However we encourage non teaching Centres to take the opportunity to deliver workshops on other matters of interest to CIT staff.
